Our Values and Mission
Why fight for America?
Sometimes America's imperfections distract us from a bigger truth - that America itself is an invaluable revolutionary concept. Ours is the first country committed to the ideas that we are created equal, that freedom is a natural right, that religion has no role in government, and more recently, to science-based policies and a rules-based international order.
Yes. we're human and have struggled and fallen short. We've lurched through crisis and major change every 80-90 years: the revolution, the civil war and reconstruction, the new deal and WWII, and today, we wrestle with fascism at home. But we've emerged from the crucible of each crisis a stronger, more just, and more compassionate nation .... and there is no reason this time must be different.
Seen in this context, our course is clear - to fight for America just as those who came before us did. It is our turn to work for a brighter future. We may even be called to find our courage but, in the final analysis, the chance to renew the promise and meaning of America, to stand steadfast for our values, is the privilege of a lifetime.

About Falls Church Indivisible
The Indivisible Project (501(c)(4)) is a social movement non-profit driven by a vision of a real democracy - of, by, and for the people.
Indivisible began in 2016 as a viral guide to resisting Trump’s agenda. Today, the Indivisible movement is a rapidly growing network of over 2700 local groups and millions of activists across every state. The Indivisible Project drives campaigns for bold progressive policies, lobbies Congress, and equips activists with tools to build lasting progressive power, everywhere. Together, we fight to defeat the rightwing takeover of American government and build an inclusive democracy.
Indivisible
Falls Church Indivisible started meeting in December 2024 and joined the national network of Indivisible groups in January 2025. Membership is open to anyone in the greater Falls Church area.
We support the national Indivisible movement but are independent and make all decisions locally. No one pays for our work - we do it for love of country, love of family, and love of justice.
We promote non-violent, lawful actions aimed at fostering democracy, justice, and compassion in our communities. Along the way, we build community and care for those under attack by the Trump administration.
